Clinical Science Graduate Student

Originally from Spain, I graduated cum laude from New York University with a degree in politics, computer science, and child and adolescent mental health. Upon completing my undergrad I worked at the Mood and Personality Disorders Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I then completed my Master’s of Science at Fordham University in Clinical Research Methods with an emphasis on quantitative psychology under the mentorship of Dr. Chris Conway. Now, I'm completing my PhD in Cognition under the joint mentorship of Drs. Keanan Joyner and Bill Thompson. I am also a Data Science Fellow at the Berkeley D-Lab.

Current Work

Broadly I explore cognitive computational and quantitative models of individual differences in behaviors, thoughts, and emotions related to psychopathology. I’m particularly interested in how we can create and leverage novel algorithms to understand, measure, and predict processes relating to personality disorders and substance use.

Currently, I’m leading a project exploring the semantic and conceptual network of alcohol and cannabis related language in addition to other projects relating to NLP models of externalizing mechanisms.
